OLD WORLDS. NEW POSSIBILITIES.
An old adventure.
A new way in.
Classic games deserve more than smaller buttons. We’re making their worlds feel at home on modern devices, while keeping the adventure intact.

A SMALL PROJECT, MADE WITH CARE
Preserve the game.
Rethink the interface.
Ultimatum Project is an independent hobby project exploring how classic PC games can work beautifully on phones and in a browser.
That means touch-friendly controls, readable conversations, and saves you can keep—not changing the heart of the game. Ultima IV is our first experiment. An iOS client is also in development; there’s no public iOS download yet.
BEFORE YOU PLAY
Bring your own Britannia.
You’ll need the complete English DOS/EGA Ultima IV game files, including AVATAR.EXE and TITLE.EXE. The documented 1.01 data fixes are supported. Choose a game folder, a ZIP from your device, or a direct ZIP URL that permits browser downloads. Ultima IV is available free from GOG.
We verify the supported game files before loading them; other modified and translated versions aren’t supported yet. Game data and saves stay in this browser, on this device. Export save backups before clearing browser data. A verified VGA graphics overlay is included automatically; Classic/EGA choices are respected. Artist-review preview includes four soundtracks with credits; redistribution permissions are pending.

Your adventure, wherever.
We’re working toward optional Ultimatum Accounts: cloud-save sync between iOS and web, plus 100 MB of private storage for your game data.
Local play will stay account-free, with downloadable saves. Today’s web build has local saves only; it does not upload files to an account.
